DSP-based servo controllers for nanopositioning piezo stages   

nPoint LC.400 Series Controllers   

The LC.400 series controller is the latest DSP based digital control system from nPoint. It combines ultra low-noise driver electronics and motion sensing modules with DSP-based servo control to provide superior closed-loop operation.

Positioning is achieved via commands sent over to a choice of standard and optional interfaces (see below), with feedback on stage position from either capacitive and strain gauge sensors - the LC.400 series controllers are compatible with both technologies.

Positioning linearity is better than 99.97% over the entire range of travel thanks to nPoint’s linearisation technique.

Stage calibration data and other parameters, such as control configurations, are stored onboard ready for use.

High-speed/ high-load configurations are catered for by high power amplifiers to provide the necessary current.

All in all, nPoint's LC.400 series prove to be one of the most flexible nanopositioning controllers on the market.
