IPG's YLR series of fibre lasers represent a new generation of diode-pumped single-mode CW Ytterbium fibre laser systems by offering a unique combination of high power (up to 200 W depending on model), ideal beam quality, and fibre delivery in the near infrared spectral range of between 1030 and 1090 nm.

YLR Series

Single-mode CW/Modulated Ytterbium fibre lasers

YLR Series diode pumped CW Ytterbium fibre lasers deliver up to 200 W output power at 1 micron. The lasers feature a highly stable near diffraction-limited single transverse mode output, fibre delivery, wide selectivity of operating wavelengths, direct analogue power modulation and low amplitude noise. The YLR series lasers are ideally suited for scientific applications and for integration into various sensors and biomedical instruments.

  • Superb beam quality: M2 < 1.1
  • Wavelength range: 1030 to 1090 nm. Optional 976 to 1020 nm models

YLR SF Series

Single frequency Ytterbium fibre laser

The YLR-SF series of single frequency diode pumped single-mode CW Ytterbium fibre lasers are a unique combination of high power with ideal beam quality. The reliability of these lasers is unmatched by any solid state or gas laser system. Wide selectivity of operating wavelengths, direct analogue power modulation, low amplitude noise, high stability and ultra-long pump diode lifetime complete an impressive list of advantages. The YLR-SF series is ideally suited for scientific applications and integration into biomedical instruments.

YLR LP Series

Single-mode linearly polarised Ytterbium fibre lasers

IPG's YLR LP Series possess a reliability that is unmatched by any other kind of solid state or gas laser system. Wide selectivity of operating wavelengths, ultra-low amplitude noise, high stability and ultra-long pump diode lifetime complete an impressive list of advantages of this modern fibre laser system.
 
The main difference of this series compared to YLR is that output light is linearly polarised making the YLR LP Series ideally suited for many applications in medical and scientific fields.

YLR LP-SF Series

Single frequency linearly polarised Ytterbium fibre laser

The YLR LP-SF Series is a single frequency (line width ~100 kHz) linearly polarised Ytterbium fibre laser operating at 1064 nm with CW output powers from 1 to 50 W. These high performance units are designed to provide the end user with high end-parameters from a convenient package with touch screen, Ethernet, and RS-232 interfaces. Isolators, built-in or detachable, are also available.
 
The YLR LP-SF Series can be used for variety of applications including coherent beam combining, detection systems and sensing, and are an ideal choice for medical and scientific lab applications. See the YAR LP-SF Series Amplifiers below for other available wavelengths.

YAR Series

Ytterbium fibre amplifiers

The YAR Series is a line of universal high power single mode fibre amplifiers covering the spectral range from 1030 to 1070 nm with powers from 1 to 100 W. Air-cooled, these sealed units are designed to provide high end-parameters out of a convenient package. Isolators, either output built-in or detachable, are available (depending output power level). Available options include single frequency operation (SF models), linearly polarised operation (LP models), or LP-SF models which offer both types of operation. The YAR Series can be used for variety of applications including:
