Thin Film Narrow Notch Filter for Spectroscopic applications

Notch filters are designed to block a narrow range of wavelengths while allowing high transmittance in the passband. The deep blocking at the excitation laser line (OD > 6) delivers more signal with less background noise.

In spectroscopy and fluorescence applications, a notch filter usefully blocks the laser light.

Iridian notch filters are manufactured to achieve one of the narrowest blocking ranges available. Their sputtered hard dielectric coatings ensure superior performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness when compared to holographic notch filters.
