Ultra High Power Fibre Coupled: The UHP-FC Series
Fibre-coupled ultra high power LED light sources are triggered by an external TTL input and are specially designed to provide strong blue, green, yellow or red light.
Six colours are offered, with better than millisecond-scale temporal precision and powers of more than 320 mW/mm² at some wavelengths,
Variants
Prizmatix can also provide dual UHP-FC light sources that feature either two separate LED channels - two output fibres - with independent power and switching control (shown left), or two LEDs of different colours alternating through a single output fibre.
High Power Fibre Coupled: The Silver-LED Series |

365 nm | ► |
The fibre-coupled high-power Silver-LED light source modules are effective replacements for lasers and lamps. Many applications, such as spectroscopy, illumination and curing, benefit from the advantages these low cost, long life modules offer. With more than three dozen different wavelengths available (see left) including white and custom colours, the compact units provide superb high power CW or pulsed power at the fibre output. The spectral power distribution of each LED is detailed by Prizmatix via their Spectra Viewer web page - see below The LED current controller provides low noise operation in continuous wave mode, accepts a zero to 5 Vdc input that can modulate the LED's output power, and has a TTL input to enable external triggering. Silver-LED is therefore ideal for use with various fibre optic spectrometers in continuous, strobe, or external triggering, measurement mode. Key Features
Note: The Silver-LED power output is limited by reciprocal fibre characteristics. Please contact us for the power data of specific wavelengths and fibres. |

High Power Fibre Coupled Multi-wavelength: The FC Series
The fibre-coupled high-power LED multi-wavelength light source modules are effective replacements for lasers and lamps in many applications. These systems provide high-power continuous wave (CW) or pulsed power at the individual fibre outputs of selectable LED plug-in modules. Each system can contain 2 or more light sources chosen from a range that includes more than 30 colours plus white.
Spectra Viewer
Prizmatix conveniently offer a Spectra Viewer on their website that plots - as shown above right - the spectral power distribution (SPD) of their various LED modules. Up to 8 sources can be selected at once.
The FC-2, FC-3, FC-5 and FC-10 LED systems are ideal for use with various fibre-optic spectrometers in continuous, strobe, or external triggering measurement modes.
Key features
- Various fibre options available, plus collimator and focuser accessories
- High-power (> 20 mW at most λ with 1500 µm core POF fibres)
- Reciprocal SMA fibre connection
- Precisely adjustable power for each LED
- Speckle free
- Long life (no lamp replacement required)
- TTL external modulation input for each wavelength

Research papers
Hundreds of papers have been published by scientists around the globe who have used Prizmatix equipment within their research. They are listed here on the Prizmatix website.
The LED current controller delivers precise power control of each channel, and TTL inputs enable external triggering of each LED separately.
