mechOnics Micropositioning Systems   

Founded 2003 in Munich, mechOnics is a specialist in micropositioning systems, offering a complete range of positioning stages with piezo inertial drives. Direct drive of the linear axis by slip / stick rod means there is zero backlash or rotation.

Travel ranges of 2 to 30 mm are available with speeds of up to 2 mm/s. Linear stages are available in X, XY and XYZ configuration together with tilt options offering up to 6 degrees of tilt. Vacuum compatible and ultra low temperature versions are also available.

Position Sensors can be fitted for closed loop operation and a number of motor controllers are offered.

PS 30 linear measuring sensors can be mounted together to form XY and XYZ positioners. Shown left is one possible configuration of an XYZ-positioner consisting of three PS 30 units.
